Punjab Government plans to sell 100,000 packets of different vegetables for current Rabi season across the province to promote kitchen gardening and has also panned various seminars and other programmes to create awareness amongst the masses about the benefit of kitchen gardening. Over 16.5 million acres of land would be brought under wheat crop during Rabi season in wheat growing parts of the Punjab. The Punjab Agriculture Department (PAD) has finalised all necessary arrangements for attaining the fixed target and to obtain per acre yield of the crop.

The Ministry of Industries and the fertiliser industry have jointly tailored a new urea price formula, which recommends slashing of Rs68 per MMTBU in Gas Development Surcharge (GDS), 4.7 per cent reduction in GST and provision of 200 MMCFD uninterrupted gas supply to urea plants, which will reduce the price of urea by Rs150 per bag, officials told Business Recorder.
