The Department of Food Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has increased the wheat quota of flour mills from 15,000 ton per day to 35,000 ton per day while the quality of flour had also been improved to provide nutrition enriched commodity to the people. The government's Food Department during year 2013 was used to provide 15,000 ton wheat to flour millers on daily basis, which after phase-wised increase has reached to 35,000 ton per day.

Though prices of some vegetables decreased during the week past as compared to the preceding week, rates of flour, pulses, spices and rice registered a significant increase, reveals a survey carried out by Business Recorder here on Saturday. Punjab Minister for Food Bilal Yaseen has said that no increase has been made in the prices of flour and a 20kg Atta bag will be sold at Rs 785. Flour prices touch new peak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Rates of all qualities of wheat flour in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have touched a new peak in two weeks, due to shortage of wheat stock and high flour prices in Punjab. In a visit to local wholesale market in Peshawar, it was noted that a 20kg bag of high quality superfine flour was shot up at Rs 860, which is being sold at Rs 810 in a few days ago.

Punjab government announces Rs 18 billion flour subsidy

Punjab government has announced to extend a subsidy of Rs 18 billion for provision of flour to consumers on cheaper rates. It will release wheat to the flour mills at Rs 1330 per 40 kilograms which will ensure the provision of 20-kilogram flour bag to consumers at Rs 785 per bag.

Bakery items’ rates surge following wheat flour price hike

Following the increase in wheat flour price, the prices of bakery items were raised by up to Rs 5 at retail outlets. According to details, bread prices have been increased by Rs 3-5 as per their weight and maximum price of one kilogram bread has reached Rs 70 per unit. Flour price fixed at Rs 34.50 per kg

Sindh Food Department on Tuesday fixed new price of flour (Atta) during a high level meeting held at Chief Minister House with Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah in the chair. The meeting reviewed Atta price and decided that under Sub Section 2-B of Section 3 of Sindh Food Stuffs Control Act 1 958, ex-mill price of flour will be Rs 33 per kg and retail price Rs 34.50 per kg with immediate effect.
