Govt making sincere efforts to enhance exports: Ahsan

TAXILA (INP)- Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that the government was making sincere efforts to enhance exports of Pakistan.

He was addressing the officials of Heavy Mechanical Complex in Taxila on Saturday. He said that under vision 2025, our exports will be enhanced from twenty-five to one hundred and fifty billion dollars. The minister said that the government has started a series of projects in the power sector to provide sufficient energy to the industrial and agriculture sectors. Most of the power projects will be completed by 2018.

Later, talking to journalists, he said that it is necessary to quit the subversive politics for the sake of development of Pakistan. He expressed the hope that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan would withdraw his call for closing down three major industrial cities of Pakistan. He said that the government wanted to resolve the prevailing political crisis through negotiations.
