A delegation of Denmark agriculture experts visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Science (UVAS) Lahore and called on Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha on Wednesday. The delegation comprising Henry Jorgensen and Werner Kofoed Nielsen from the Knowledge Centre for Agriculture, Denmark, and Danish Embassy Commercial Adviser Aslam Perwaiz discussed the dairy sector issues with the Vice-Chancellor.
They lauded the efforts and role of UVAS in livestock, dairy and related sectors. They also discussed possibilities of collaboration with the UVAS for exchange of teachers and students for training programmes. The Vice-Chancellor also briefed the delegation on UVAS role in development of livestock sector, vaccine production and extension activities.
While, the UVAS arranged a lecture on “Role of veterinary graduates as entrepreneurs” on Thursday. LUMS Pro-Chancellor Syed Babar Ali delivered the lecture in which teachers and students participated in a large number. Syed Babar spoke about various aspect of entrepreneurship and the role of young veterinarians. Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Professor Dr Nasim Ahmad and Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Professor Dr Sarwar Khan were also present on the occasion.
