CDA approves establishment of modern slaughter house

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Technical Committee approved the establishment of state-of-the-art slaughter house during a meeting held with Maroof Afzal, Chairman CDA in the chair, says a press release issued on Friday. The CDA chairman said that the CDA is fully aware of the needs of Capital city and is taking steps to provide healthy environment to the residents.

This slaughter house should have been established many years ago because it is pre-requisite for provision of hygienic meat to citizens, he added. The establishment of slaughter house would enable the people to get hygienic and quality meat. While presenting the summary for the establishment of slaughter house, Member Administration Amer Ali Ahmed apprised of the meeting that the slaughter house would be established in sector H-9/3 at the cost of Rs 190 million. He said that after approval of PC-I, the work on the project would be kicked off, which will be completed in 10 months.-PR
