Quality education an engine for bright future: Agrarian Society Seminar UAF

university-of-agriculture-faisalabad-uafFAISALABAD: Solutions to all problems being faced by the country lie in trained human resources, said University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice-Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan.

Addressing an orientation seminar organised by the Agrarian Society for the newly-admitted students at Iqbal Auditorium on Tuesday, he said that quality education was an engine for the bright future. He said that the UAF was the only university of the country, which was among the top 100 universities of the world. He said the significance rise in women enrollment was witnessed in the university and it was a good sign. Keeping the increasing applications for different disciplines in view, the UAF was increasing its enrollment capacity, he added.

Dr Abdus Salam urged the students to work hard to prove their mettle in their respected fields. He said that the university was making all efforts to provide quality education and facilities to the students. Dr Muhammad Amjad said that as many as 16,000 students were studying in the campus. The UAF had increased its hostel capacity for male and female students.

Directorate of Financial Assistance Director Javed Anwar said that comprehensive financial assistance programmes were running in the campus to facilitate the talented and deserving students. Controller Examinations Shafqat Iqbal urged the students to show dedication to attain education. He said that the state-of-the-art facilities were being provided to the students.
