China dashes Thai hopes of cutting huge rice stockpile

October 13, 2013 China on Friday threw cold water on Thailand's claims of selling rice to cut its huge stocks, saying it will buy one million tonnes but over the next five years and making no mention of government deals. October 13, 2013 Indian sugar futures fell on Friday to their lowest in nearly 16 months on surplus supplies that some industry officials fear would led cash-crunched mills sell the sweetener by cutting prices.
