Tax returns: PHMA urges FBR to extend date

Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA) has urged Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the date for filing sales tax, federal excise duty returns. In a letter, the PHMA has requested FBR to extend the date for filing returns from October 15 to 25, 2013, to facilitate the tax payers. The Eid-ul-Azha holidays are starting from October 15 till 18 (Tuesday to Thursday), and October 19 (Friday) is bank holiday, making difficult for the tax payers to meet the deadline.
