Irrigation department directed to strengthen protective bunds

Sindh Secretary for Irrigation Babar Afandi along-with Deputy Commissioner Larkana Mirza Nasir Ali visited the various bunds including Aakil-Aghani Bund, Nusrat Loop Bunds, Abad Mangli Bund and other bunds of Larkana district, on Friday.

The Secretary directed the officers of Irrigation Department of Larkana District to realise their responsibilities, redouble their efforts and strengthen the sensitive points along both sides of protective bunds on River Indus in the District.

He also directed the Irrigation officers to make all out efforts to face the emergency of flood in this area. Secretary Irrigation stressed upon the officials of irrigation to beef up intensive patrolling on the bunds round-the-clock.
