Indonesia, the world’s top raw sugar importer, has issued additional import permits for 475,000 tonnes of the sweetener for the second half of 2013, a industry ministry official said on Friday, as it looks to meet rising industry demand. The new import permits will raise this to a total of 2.74 million tonnes, Faiz Achmad, director of food and fishery at the industry ministry told Reuters.
