Short course on ‘Biostat & Data Analysis Methodologies’ begins at UVAS

LAHORE: A short course on “Biostat and Data Analysis Methodologies” began at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore on Tuesday.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha presided over the inaugural ceremony and spoke about the importance of statistics in research studies. He said that research studies could not be authenticated without the application of statistical tests on the data and results. He said that this workshop would not only train the participants in Biostat and data analysis methodologies but also be helpful to develop networks of scientists. Over 30 teachers from the Lahore College for Women University, Punjab University, UVAS, NUST Islamabad, Lahore University Lahore and Agriculture University Faisalabad are participating in the training course arranged under the Pakistan-US Science and Technology Program.
Dean Faculty of Livestock Business Management Prof Dr Ijaz Ahmad, Prof Dr Habibur Rehman and Dr Anwar also spoke on the occasion.
