Pharmacy Council delegation visits UVAS

pharmacy-council-uvas-lahorLAHORE: A delegation of the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan visited the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS) of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore and called on Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha.

The Vice-Chancellor told the visiting delegation that provision of highly qualified faculty and the latest laboratory, library  and other facilities at the IPS were among the top priorities of the UVAS. Former Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Nawaz was also present on the occasion.

The delegation led by Pharmacy Council of Pakistan Secretary Naziruddin Ahsan also took a round of different laboratories, library and other facilities of the IPS and appreciated the efforts of the UVAS in developing modern facilities for the promotion of Pharmacy education.

IPS Director Prof Dr Farzana Chowdhary briefed the delegation on the academic programs and working of the institute. She said that the IPS was offering Pharm D and MPhil Pharmaceutics degree programs. She said that the education system at IPS was not only sensitive to the local needs of Pakistan but also lived up to the international standards so that its graduates could contribute to the modern developments in the profession through research, practice and education.
