PAD makes 1.4 million acres of land cultivable from 2002

April 20, 2013 Agriculture engineering wing of the Punjab Agriculture Department (PAD) has made 1.4 million acres of land cultivable from year 2002 to till date with a subsidy of over Rs 4.62 billion benefiting over 113,000 growers of the province. The department is renting out 344 bulldozers to the growers annually on subsidised rates which help levelling 30,000 acres of land per annum.
