Bangladesh to import 1.0mn tonnes rice from Thailand

DHAKA: Bangladesh will import up to 1.0 million tonnes of rice from Thailand next year to prevent a rise in the price of the commodity, the government said on Saturday.
The two countries signed a memorandum during a visit by Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra that began on Friday.

Trading remains bullish at cotton market

KARACHI: Trading remained brisk with strong physical prices amid firm spot rate, traders at the Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) said on Friday.
The KCA kept the spot rate unchanged at Rs 6,000 per maund to provide support to baseline prices and weak stockholders for getting better prices, floor brokers said.

Poultry prices shoot up: CRPC urges CCP to take notice
