Complaints of poor quality Wheat

JAIPUR, Thursday, Nov 01, 2012: Rajasthan Governor Margret Alva has sought a report from the Food Corporation of India (FCI) on complaints of bad smell emanating from wheat transported here by the procurement agency.

The poor quality wheat transported to Jaipur from Punjab was arrived at Kanakpura railway station near here.

Tapesh Panwar, principal secretary, Food Department Rajasthan, said, “We asked the FCI authorities here for a report, as directed by the Governor. Though it is an internal matter of FCI and the State Government has no role in its functioning, there were complaints that bad smell was emanating from the food grain.”
