September 05, 2012: Pakistan has failed to export 0.3 million tons of sugar, allowed for exports this year, due to stiff competition abroad. Industry sources said that millers were allowed to export 0.3 million tons of sugar by Economic Co-ordination Committee (ECC). However, most of the sugar could not be exported due to a decline in sugar prices in international market.

September 05, 2012: Punjab Minister for Agriculture Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh has directed the high ups of the provincial agriculture department to complete small dams' projects at the earliest to ensure availability of irrigation water in Rawalpindi division.
