Irsa releases 283,530 cusecs of water

August 15, 2012: The Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Tuesday released 283,530 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 278,584 cusecs. According to the data released by IRSA, the maximum water level in River Indus at Tarbela was 1493.64 feet which was 115.64 feet higher than its dead level of 1378 feet. August 15, 2012: Agriculture Forum Pakistan Chairman Muhammad Ibrahim Mughal said here on Tuesday that Pakistan offers high profitability margins and a return on equity at 20 percent unmatched by any country in the region. Tajikistan to import wheat, rice, corn from Pakistan

August 15, 2012: Tajikistan will import about 100,000 tons of wheat, 5,000 tons rice, 5,000 ton corn, edible oil and fertilisers to meet its domestic requirements.
